Butch serves as the executive director of The First Tee Central Coast. Before “retiring,” he taught mathematics for thirty-five years at Carpinteria High School and coached Varsity boy’s basketball for 25 years. Butch started both the boys’ and girls’ high school golf program at Carpinteria High School. He was an assistant coach at Westmont College in Santa Barbara. Butch currently teach two statistics classes at Santa Barbara City College, remains an avid golfer and is the grandfather of three. His license plate sums up two of his biggest passions: “The two best things in life are golf and grandkids.” Butch currently resides in the Santa Barbara area with his wife.
